After his crushing victory over Pedro Martinez in the third round, Jannik Sinner is ready to return to the court at Wimbledon for his match in the round of 16 at the Championships. The world number one will face Grigor Dimitrov, number 19 in the seeding and 21 in the ATP rankings.

The match between l’Azzurro and the Bulgarian will close the center court program on Monday, July 7. It starts at 2:30 p.m. Italian time (1:30 p.m. local time) with the match between Novak Djokovic and Alex De Minaur, then it will be Mirra Andreeva and Emma Navarro&#8217s turn before the match between Sinner and Dimitrov.

There are five previous meetings between the two players with the South Tyrolean champion holding a 4-1 advantage: the most recent, and so far the only one at Slam level, was in the quarterfinals of Roland Garros 2024 when Jannik won in three sets (6-2 6-4 7-6).

Sinner also beat Dimitrov in the final of the Miami 2024 Masters 1000, in the quarterfinals of the Beijing 2023 ATP 500 and again in Miami, this time in the third round, in 2023. The Bulgarian&#8217s only victory came in the round of 16 of the Internazionali d’Italia in 2020.
