Jannik Sinner does not celebrate qualifying for Wimbledon quarterfinals

Jannik Sinner in his usual end-of-match interview almost apologized for qualifying for the Wimbledon quarterfinals, the result of Dimitrov’s withdrawal forced to raise the white flag after winning the first two sets.
“I don“t know what to say, Grigor is an incredible player and he proved it today. He’s been very unlucky in the last two years. He is a good friend, we know each other well. I wish him to recover as quickly as possible. I don’t feel like a winner at all”.
“It’s a very sad moment for all of us who have seen him. Injuries like these are terrible. We know how much he cares about the sport; he is one of the hardest training tennis players. This is not the ending we would have hoped for. Let’s give Grigor a round of applause,” the world number 1 concluded.
Sinner in the quarterfinals will face Ben Shelton, executioner Monday afternoon of Lorenzo Sonego who after winning the first set had to surrender in four.
