The logistics division of the Ludoil Group – composed of Sodeco S.r.l. (parent company), Petroli Investimenti S.p.A., Gala Logistica S.r.l. and Meridionale Petroli S.r.l. – announces the launch of a new governance structure through the establishment of a Board of Directors, replacing the single-member body previously in place.

The new body is composed of Francesco Vincenzo Rossi Guarnera, former member of the Board of Directors of the parent company Ludoil Energy S.p.A., and Marco Russo Spena, former head of the Group’s legal area. The Board appointed Marco Schiavetti as CEO.

A leading figure on the national energy scene, Schiavetti has more than two decades of experience in the management of strategic assets–including refineries and coastal depots–and has held senior positions in trading, sales and business development at the international level. As Chief Commercial Officer of the Saras Group, he has developed a broad and cross-functional managerial vision based on solid operational, industrial and financial skills.

His position is not limited to the supervision of current activities, but takes on a prospective significance: to accompany in the next three years the transition to products with a lower environmental impact, through the development of supply chains dedicated to advanced biofuels, including SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel), HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) and biodiesel, already present in the Group’s offerings but destined for major growth in volumes and infrastructure.

“I take on this position with a sense of responsibility and with the intention of contributing to the growth of a strategic reality for the country – said Marco Schiavetti. “I will put my skills at the disposal of the Ludoil Group to further increase the operational efficiency and resilience of our systems, while promoting a decisive acceleration towards increasingly sustainable logistics models and energy products”.

The term of office of the Board of Directors will be three years, expiring on the December 31, 2027 budget approval date. The introduction of the new model coincides with the enhancement of the career path of Massimiliano Mignacca, who-after successfully leading the companies in the logistics sector for an entire industrial cycle-takes on new top management positions within the holding company, with transversal responsibilities to support the main development and transformation plans.

The Board of Directors will be appointed for a three-year term, with an expiration date set at the date of approval of the financial statements as of December 31, 2027.

“I am leaving a position that I have had the honor to hold in intense years for the growth of the Group – said Massimiliano Mignacca -With team spirit and industrial vision, we have expanded the logistics network, invested in safety and innovation, with substantial resources allocated in particular to health, safety and the environment, which represent a structural foundation of our operating model. We have also embarked on an efficiency drive that today enables Ludoil to meet the challenges of an ever-changing market with solidity. I thank the owners for their trust and will continue to offer my contribution in support of the Group’s future strategies, with the same commitment and determination that have characterized my path to date.”

Ludoil Group’s logistics division moves more than three million tons of petroleum products annually for the automotive, aviation and bunkering sectors. The infrastructure – whose total storage capacity is 520,000 tons – consists of four coastal terminals under fiscal storage, a dedicated bunkering facility and an offshore platform in Civitavecchia. In addition, there are two sites in Friuli-Venezia Giulia – in Muggia (TS) and Visco (UD) – and one in Vibo Marina (VV), also operating under the fiscal storage regime.

The network also includes 120 sites in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

The network also includes 120 km of proprietary oil pipelines, including the backbone that directly connects the Sodeco depots to Rome Fiumicino International Airport. These infrastructures are recognized by the Italian government as strategic assets pursuant to Law 239/2004, by virtue of their contribution to the security of the country’s energy supplies.

The network is also owned by the Sodeco network.

With the new set-up, Ludoil Group consolidates its position as a primary hub of the national energy system, geared to ensure operational continuity, security and industrial sustainability, in a context that requires vision, adaptability and capacity for innovation.
