Giro d'Italia Women, Lorena Wiebes ahead of all in Trento

Lorena Wiebes (Team SD Worx – Protime) won the third stage of the Giro d’Italia Women, the 122-kilometer Vezza d’Oglio-Trento. In second and third place were Josie Nelson (Team Picnic PostNL) and Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx – Protime), respectively.

“Winning at the Giro d’Italia Women is always nice and this success confirms how well the season is going – said Wiebes herself -It was another important team effort, my teammates worked all day and it was important to finalize. Lotte Kopecky and I were very lucky that we were not involved in the crash, then Barbara Guarischi made an outstanding effort to get us back on the front of the race”.
