Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari has announced the signing of Nick McGlynn, an American pivot class of 1996 who played last season between Dziki Warsaw (Poland) and Kolossos Rhodes (Greece).

Solid, athletic long man with strong defensive qualities, McGlynn is now ready to make himself available in coach Massimo Bulleri’s long department.

“Dinamo Sassari represents a great opportunity for my career – commented the interested party -. Talking with the club, I perceived a motivation and a passion that mirror my own and this excited me immediately. My personal goals coincide with those of the team: we want to finish high in the standings and compete in the playoffs. From day one I will give it my all, working hard to reach this goal step by step. Having the opportunity to play in the Italian league would be something extraordinary, and doing it with a club with such an important history as Dinamo would make everything even more special.”

Satisfied also Mauro Sartori, Dinamo’s sporting director: “McGlynn is a player who stands out for his proven and consolidated solidity over time. He started his journey in second-tier leagues in Europe, but he has been able to gradually raise the bar, always proving himself. We are talking about an athletic long man, with an important physical structure, capable of guaranteeing rebounding presence and defensive solidity, but also endowed with a good mid-range shot. He has quick feet and this can be a valuable element in building our idea of an aggressive defense. We are convinced that he will be able to give us a concrete contribution and that he will adapt very well to the new context”.
