Paul Banchero renews with Orlando Magic: record figure

Renewal record for Paolo Banchero. The Italian-born winger, in fact, signed a five-year extension with an option for the 2030-2031 season with the Orlando Magic for a whopping $239 million, as reported by Sky Sports. The figure could go up to $287 million in case of bonuses.

Banchero (2.08 m, 113 kg, born Nov. 12, 2002) played 46 games last season with Orlando, averaging 25.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 34.4 minutes per game. He became one of only three players in NBA history to reach at least 4,000 points, 1,300 rebounds and 900 assists in his first three seasons as a professional, along with LeBron James and Luka Doncic.

Banchero led (or shared leadership) the team in points scored an impressive 27 times, rebounds grabbed 14 times and assists provided 27 times. 44 times he reached double figures, scored 20 or more points in 35 games, 30 or more in 18 games and 40 or more on four occasions, including the 50 points, a career high, scored on Oct. 28 against Indiana.
