Revolution at Red Bull, farewell after 20 years to Christian Horner

Clamorous announcement in Formula 1 and in particular for Red Bull, which after 20 years has decided to say goodbye to Christian Horner, who with immediate effect will no longer be part of the Austrian team.
The news, anticipated by some international media, was made official in a statement in which the new set-up for the rest of the season has also already been unveiled.
Laurent Mekies, former Ferrari sports director and since 2024 team principal of Racing Bulls, has been chosen as the new CEO, while current sports director Alan Permane has been promoted to the role of team principal.
Horner, who held both roles, had headed the team since 2005, when he began the Red Bull’s adventure in the circus, capable under his management of winning eight drivers world titles (four with Sebastian Vettel and as many with Max Verstappen) and six constructors titles.
