Federico Buffa Talks, Federica Pellegrini tells her story without filters

Federica Pellegrini, considered by insiders to be among the greatest swimmers ever, will be the next protagonist of Federico Buffa Talks, Sky Sport’s original production with Federico Buffa and director Federico Ferri that serves as a platform for telling the story of the careers of Italy’s greatest sportsmen and women, with a direct confrontation with the protagonists themselves.
The program will air from Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. on Sky Sport 24, at 1:15 p.m. (after the water polo match of the Singapore World Cup with the Azzurre committed against New Zealand) and at 9:15 p.m. on Sky Sport Uno, via satellite and streaming on NOW. Federico Buffa Talks is also available on demand in Sky’s catalog.
It will be an important opportunity to revisit the career of an’athlete of the highest caliber, through her words: “Breaking the mold was always something that came quite naturally to me. I wanted to be the first woman in my sport to do things reserved until then only for men, and that was an incredible stimulus for me”.
“Especially in the early years of my career, I always had a very divided personality, on one side, sometimes fighting each other, there was the girl who wanted to be normal, Federica; on the other side, however, there was Pellegrini, a bulky girl, a woman who won, successful, very determined, conscious of what she wanted”.
From the first Olympic medal won in Athens 2004 to the Tokyo 2020 Games, passing through successes in every corner of the globe, Federica Pellegrini will retrace not only her sporting successes but also the behind-the-scenes of a star-studded career, without forgetting the characters who have accompanied her on a path as long as it has been winning.
