After the surprising elimination of world number one Aryna Sabalenka, who was defeated in three sets by Amanda Anisimova of the United States, the second semifinal of the Wimbledon women’s singles draw did not offer another twist.

Iga Swiatek, No. 4 in the WTA rankings and No. 8 in the seeding, demolished Belinda Bencic, world No. 35, with a final score of 6-2 6-0 after just one’hour and twelve minutes of play, and hit the final for the first time in her career at the Championships.

The second set is a domination of the’former world number one who, after nullifying two break points in the opening game, threads six consecutive games and closes the match on the second match point joining Anisimova in the final.
