It won’t be a high noon, because the match will be played late Friday afternoon, but the match the whole world has been waiting for between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic will be staged at extremely high temperatures.

A semifinal, Friday’s semifinal of the Wimbledon men’s tournament, which will pit two genuine top players against each other and in which even the slightest detail may be able to tip the balance on the side of the South Tyrolean or the Serb.

And the heat could affect, and not a little, the performance of both: at 5 p.m. local time 31.1 degrees are forecast, an hour later 30.8, at 7 p.m. it will drop just a little, with the mercury column predicted to settle at 30.2 degrees, which will become 28.8 at 8 p.m.

Between Djokovic and Sinner there are more than fourteen years of difference, with the Slav having been born on May 22, 1987, and the Italian on August 16, 2001.

The heat, therefore, ID cards in hand, will be an ally of our compatriot, who is younger and by a lot than his rival. Of course, however, this will not be enough to get rid of a racquet phenomenon.
