Jannik Sinner justifies Novak Djokovic and doesn’t know what to expect from Carlos Alcaraz

Jannik Sinner spoke after hitting his first Wimbledon final: “It’s incredible, I can’t believe it. It was the tournament I watched as a kid on TV, it’s gorgeous. I know how much work we do with my team. My family is here too, it’s great to have achieved this result”.
World number one defeated Novak Djokovic 3-0: “I think Nole was not well at the end, he was injured with Cobolli. I tried to stay calm and play the important points the best I could, I am happy with the performance and we will see what happens in the final”.
“I am growing as a player on all surfaces, this is important for me. When I started on grass I was struggling a lot, now I am more comfortable. It is part of the process of a daily work, it is important to get these results but also the journey to get them”.
Closing on the final with Alcaraz: “I don’t know what to expect, given the last final in Paris. It is a great honor to share the field with Carlos, we push each other to the limit every time. He is a reference player for me, we all agree that it will be a good match. I don’t know if we can do better than Paris though”.
