Jannik Sinner wants first joy on'grass against Novak Djokovic

The big day is here. Today, at Wimbledon, the men’s semifinals are staged. Opening the dances is the Alcaraz-Fritz match. Next, the’eagerly awaited match between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.
Today’s will be the 10th confrontation between the world No. 1 and the winner of 24 Slam events. The record smiles on the Italian, who has won five times (the’last one at Roland Garros 2025). However, on grass, Jannik Sinner has never beaten the 38-year-old Serb.
In the previous two, namely Wimbledon 2022 quarterfinals and Wimbledon 2023 semifinals, Novak Djokovic has always come out on top. The Serb is having an excellent tournament and feels in excellent condition (although he missed Thursday’s practice). He knows that this could be his last chance to go to the final and try to win what would be his eighth Wimbledon title.
On the other hand, elbow problems aside, Jannik Sinner is aware that this is a match to be won at all costs. There’s so much at stake. The first possible final at Wimbledon, a major ranking advantage over Carlos Alcaraz and, why not, proof that, even on grass, he is stronger than Novak Djokovic. In short, the 10th match between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic promises spectacle and lots of excitement.
