Olimpia Milano: the seven Italians on the roster, amid surprises and regrets

L’Olimpia Milano is assembling a major roster for the 2025/26 season. Lots of signings “top-notch” such as Guduric (already made official) and Brown, arriving from Panathinaikos (just missing the’announcement).

The club also defined the seven blues who will be part of the roster for next season. Confirmed were Mannion, Ricci (renewed until 2027), Flaccadori (another renewal), Diop, and Tonut, the latter mentioned as a possible departor but, in the end, remained red and white.

The two new additions in the Italian department are those of Ellis, British but Italian-trained, and Toté, the latter yet to be announced, although the agreement seems to have already been found. In fact, Ellis and Toté take the place of Bortolani and Caruso, both “accompanied” to the door.

There are those who think that the two sacrificed, namely Bortolani and Caruso, would have deserved more consideration, partly because, whenever they were called upon, they responded in kind, proving that they can play at certain levels. Even the decision not to bet on the young ace Garavaglia (he will go to play in Germany, putting himself on the line in a completely new environment) caused some disappointment among the red and white fans. Keeping them all was impossible. The club made choices and, as always, the parquet will be the judge.
