Gasperini’s Roma is, one step at a time, taking shape. The Giallorossi club is very active in the market: there’s a willingness to please the new coach across the board. Big maneuvers especially in the midfield.

The first news is the’farewell of Paredes. “Bienvenido a tu casa, Leandro”. These were the words posted on the social profile of Boca Juniors to formalize the arrival of the now former Roma midfielder. Paredes thus returns to his homeland, to the club where he started playing at a high level.

The 31-year-old Argentine says goodbye to Italy where he played with the shirts of Roma (four seasons total), Chievo (with whom he made his Serie A debut), Empoli and Juventus. A World Champion with Argentina, he did not win any trophies in his Italian experiences.

Gasperini, to replace Paredes, would target Rios. The Colombian, on loan from Palmeiras, would guarantee quality and dynamism. Not an easy negotiation. The Giallorossi club would be ready to put as much as 30 million euros on the plate for Rios. Whether they will be enough to reach the classic white smoke remains to be seen. The Colombian midfielder, in fact, has many other admirers, including Fiorentina and, above all, Atletico Madrid. Gasperini dreams of having him available from the first day of Roma’s training camp, scheduled for next July 13.
