The tennis world is experiencing with enormous anticipation the eve of the final of the Wimbledon men&#8217s tournament, which will see Carlos Alcaraz defend the title he won in 2023 and 2024 (against Novak Djokovic in both cases) against a Jannik Sinner eager for revenge after the finals he lost to the Murcian at the Internazionali d’Italia and Roland Garros.

Talking to reporters present at Wimbledon, Alcaraz spoke about the rivalry with the South Tyrolean, also clearly explaining what is the aspect he fears most about Sinner&#8220s game: “There&#8217s one shot I would take away from him and that is the backhand – the current No. 2 ranking player commented.

More specifically the defensive one, when he leverages his left leg. I think it is one of the best shots on the whole circuit”.

According to Alcaraz, even Sinner himself would take away from the Murcian an aspect of his repertoire: “From me, I guess, he would take the touch on the bunt or volley” said the 2003-class tennis player, who in the last period has proved a real black beast for the South Tyrolean, defeated on the last 5 occasions.

Jannik Sinner&#8217s last success against Carlos Alcaraz dates back to the semifinals of the Beijing tournament in 2023: 7-6(4), 6-1 was the score in favor of the South Tyrolean. The two have previously faced each other only once at Wimbledon, at the level of the round of 16 in the 2022 edition: the current world No. 1 won in four sets, 6-1, 6-4, 6-7(8), 6-3.
