MotoGp, Sachsenring: pole for Marc Marquez, Bezzecchi on the front row. Back Bagnaia

For the seventh time this season, Marc Marquez will start the Sprint Race and the Sunday race from pole position. At the Sachsenring, site of the German Grand Prix, the Ducati centaur in fact left the competition behind, setting a 1:27.811 that proved unbeatable for his opponents in the wet. Completing the front row were the Honda LCR of Johann Zarco (+0.151) and the Aprilia of Marco Bezzecchi (+0.421).
To find another Ducati we have to go down to fourth position, where there’s Franco Morbidelli of the VR46 Racing Team. They are followed, in the second row, by Pedro Acosta on KTM and Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini): for the latter, the gap from his brother’s best time is even one second and 431 thousandths. On the third row are, then, Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46) and Jack Miller (Yamaha Pramac).
Day to forget for Pecco Bagnaia: in fact, the 2022 and 2023 world champion did not go beyond the’eleventh place, with a gap of 1 second and 942 thousandths from his teammate in pole. This was the slowest time in Q2, considering that due to a brittle fall Maverick ViƱales was unable to complete a single lap.
Marc Marquez is so far the ruler of the 2025 season: with 7 pole positions, 9 Sprints won and 6 GPs won, he has confirmed that he has a great feeling with the Ducati Desmosedici GP-25, hoisting himself to the top of the overall standings after 10 rounds with 307 points. Behind him in the standings is his brother Alex at 239, while Pecco Bagnaia is third with 181 points and only one win, in Texas.
