The big day has arrived. Today, starting at 5:00 p.m., the Wimbledon finals will be staged. The’coveted trophy will be played, as hoped by every tennis fan, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, respectively the number 1 and number 2 in the men’s draw of the tournament.

Carlos Alcaraz, on his third consecutive final at Wimbledon, is seeking his third title in a row and second Slam of the season (after winning Roland Garros). Jannik Sinner, in his first final on English grass, seeks redemption after losing the last act at Roland Garros and, most importantly, aims to become the first Italian to win Wimbledon.

The precedents smile on the Spaniard, who has won eight times out of 12 total challenges. In particular, Carlos Alcaraz comes from two wins in a row: Internazionali d’Italia and, indeed, Roland Garros. However, the world No. 1 knows he has what it takes to try to dethrone the Iberian and give himself what would be the fourth Slam of his very young career.

In addition, there is a precedent that can only please Jannik Sinner. In the’only precedent between the two on grass, the Blue won the match. We are talking about the round of 16 of the 2022 edition of Wimbledon. On that occasion, Jannik Sinner won in four sets: 6-1, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3. A curiosity: the Italian had just parted ways with Riccardo Piatti, relying on the Cahill-Vagnozzi duo.
