Thanks to a super performance, Jannik Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz and triumphed at Wimbledon. The South Tyrolean, after the big win, immediately congratulated his opponent: “I want to congratulate Carlos. He had an incredible tournament, he should be thanked for the player he is. It is really difficult to face him. We continue to build our relationship off the court and our rivalry on the court”.

Jannik Sinner then made a special thank you: “I have to say thank you to my parents, to my team. Special thanks to my brother who came here today because there&#8217s no Formula 1”. The joke immediately went viral on social media.

“It really is a special moment. Before this match I thought I never even imagined I would be playing for this trophy, it is a dream come true. I want to thank my team and everyone who supported me on this special day”.

“In Paris the defeat was so hard, but in the end it doesn&#8217t matter how you win or how you lose: in major tournaments you have to reset the past and keep working – continued Sinner. That&#8217s one of the reasons I won today. The last game I served very well, I am very happy about that. At the best of 5 any moment can change the match. something that can only happen at Wimbledon, that is why it is so nice to play here”.
