Here are the statements of the Marquez brothers, first and second in the German Grand Prix. For Marc, the triumphant, it was the 200th career Grand Prix in MotoGP, for Alex, second, the 100th.

“Yesterday I had missed the first corner, today I told myself to go to the inside and turn tight. In the race, I had a very good pace, I felt good; at the end I slowed down a little bit but I didn’t get off track,” Marc said.

“Today I kept a balance point at the beginning, not trying to open a gap right away but doing it slowly as the laps went by. I was confident on the bike, after that I managed but with a comfortable pace – continued the Spanish star -. When I was going slow paradoxically it seemed that I risked more. In the third sector there are the corners I like the most, in T3 and T4 I make the difference here. On the water yesterday I risked a lot.”

“I managed to keep behind Bagnaia, it was important for the championship – added Alex -. In the first ten laps I had no pain, however it was not easy in general to manage the changes of direction that fortunately here are not so many. Now I will try to make the most of these few days that separate us from the Brno weekend to present myself in even better condition physically.”

“However, I am very satisfied with this weekend, we got the maximum out of it and I knew that in the dry it would be easier than in the wet – continued the youngest of the Marquez -. I kept checking the weather forecast on my phone. I was also lucky with the falls of Di Giannantonio and Bezzecchi that promoted me to the podium.”
