Pisa, Alberto Gilardino awaits defense reinforcement: arrives from Switzerland

Prosecuting Pisa’s market maneuvers ahead of next season, the one that will see the Tuscan Nerazzurri set foot again in the top flight after a thirty-four-year absence. The new name is that of Daniel Denoon, who, according to reports from ‘Sky‘ is ready to sign a multi-year contract with the club that finished second in Serie B last season.
Denoon, born in 2004, is a physically powerful defender (he is 187 centimeters tall) and has proven himself among the seniors with the Zurich jersey, which missed the poule scudetto last season only because of the overall goal difference, mocked by Lausanne, while still managing to console itself with success in the salvation poule.
The footballer, who had also completed his youth career right in Zurich, will thus see the agreement that bound him to FCZ until 2027 come to an end. Pisa is ready to offer him a four-year contract and build around him the defensive department that the new coach, Alberto Gilardino, will have at his disposal for the new season.
In the 2024-2025 season, Denoon played 13 games in the Super League for a total of 684 minutes of play, one game in the Swiss Cup and 7 in the Promotion League, the Swiss third league, where Zurich fields the B team. Denoon, in his young career, has also played some matches in the Swiss youth selections, particularly with the Under 18, Under 19 and Under 21.
