Serie B: midweek rounds dates announced, will also play on "Boxing day"

On the sidelines of the General Meeting held Monday in Milan in the presence of representatives of the 20 clubs that will make up the 2025-2026 cadet league roster, the Lega Professionisti Serie B announced the dates of the midweek rounds, also confirming the presence on the calendar of the “Boxing day” round on December 26 with postponements on the following day.
The midweek rounds will be five, all scheduled on Tuesdays, with the possibility of advances and postponements: the first will take place on Sept. 30, the second on Oct. 28, the third on Feb. 10, the fourth on March 3, and the fifth and last two weeks later, on the 17th.
The start and end dates of the regular season are confirmed: starting on Saturday, Aug. 23, and ending on May 10.
As for special rounds, in addition to “Boxing day” the Easter Monday round is also confirmed, which in 2026 will fall on April 6. The long season of the Italian second division will also experience four weekends off, the same ones shared by Serie A for the national teams’activities.
The next Serie B championship will be attended, as last year, by Bari, Carrarese, Catanzaro, Cesena, Frosinone, Juve Stabia, Mantova, Modena, Palermo, Reggiana, Sampdoria, Spezia and Südtirol, joined by the three relegated from last year’s Serie A, namely Empoli, Monza and Venezia, and the four newly promoted from C, namely Avellino, Padova, Pescara and Virtus Entella.
