Jannik Sinner is enjoying a well-deserved rest after his first career triumph at the Wimbledon tournament, where he “avenged” his defeat at Roland Garros by beating Carlos Alcaraz in four sets in the final. The South Tyrolean tennis player, who returned to the court at the beginning of May after a break due to his disqualification over the Clostebol case, has had a very intense two months and is now drawing his breath for a few days ahead of the start of the season on cement, his favorite surface.

After resting for two weeks, Sinner could return to the court as early as the end of the month for the Toronto Masters 1000, starting July 27, where last season he was eliminated by Rublev in the quarterfinals.

After Toronto he will fly to the United States for the Cincinnati tournament, where he will have to defend the title he won last season, and then it will be the turn of the Us Open: the Blue is also defending champion at Flushing Meadows.

Sinner will have to defend many more points than Carlos Alcaraz in the coming months: the goal is to end the year as world number one.
