Jannik Sinner at 17 predicted everything

Jannik Sinner at the age of 23 has entered the tennis Olympus for good after his extraordinary success at Wimbledon –the first Italian tennis player in history to do so -, which came in the final against his greatest rival: Carlos Alcaraz.
Thanks to his triumph at the Championships, l’Azzurro gained another 2,300 points over the Spaniard in the ATP rankings: Sinner, at the top of the rankings for 58 consecutive weeks, reached his best score ever with 12,030 points against Alcaraz’s 8,600.
And yet, the South Tyrolean champion had already foreseen everything when he was only 17 years old when he spoke this way to the microphones of the Ansa’Ansa: “My goal is to play 70/75 matches per’year”. In 2024, just to say, Jannik played 79, with an incredible record of 73 wins and 6 losses.
“Everyone has his own way of playing, however, on the court I believe I am very calm” added Sinner, who just at Wimbledon once again showed all his mental strength, avenging the painful defeat in the final again to Alcaraz at Roland Garros just one month later.
