Juventus, new technical director is François Modesto: "Here to win"

Through an official statement, Juventus has announced its new technical director: he is François Modesto. The former Monza man will work directly under general manager Damien Comolli.

Forty-seven years old in a little over a month –on August 19 – François Modesto was born in Bastia and after a path as a footballer that lasted about twenty years, from 1997 to 2016, he decided to immediately embark on a career as a manager, holding important positions between Greece, England and Italy. It was precisely in our country that Modesto spent an important slice of his career, first on the field and later behind the desk, thus gaining an in-depth knowledge of Italian soccer in all its facets.

François’s first experience as Sporting Director and Head of the Scouting Area came in 2016 and he lived it in Greece, at Olympiacos, winning three championships and a national cup. Then in 2019 the move to England, to Nottingham Forest, where in the role of Director of Football he closes his three years with the promotion of the English club to the Premier League after 23 years of absence. Then, in the summer of 2022, the’arrival in Italy, at Monza, newly promoted to Serie A, where he takes on the role of Director of the Technical Area, remaining in office until the end of 2024.
