Gregorio Paltrinieri has accomplished yet another masterpiece of his career. The 30-year-old Italian managed to take the silver medal at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore. For the Carpi native, this is the ninth podium finish at the World Championships. A huge satisfaction that, however, he could not fully enjoy.

The Italian swimmer did not take the behavior of the World Championships organizing team well at all, guilty of not having managed the situation related to the suboptimal water quality in the best possible way. The postponement of the races, coupled with the lack of firmness in making decisions, made the Gold Flames bearer blurt out.

“It was the worst organization in the last 20’years. You can&#8217t go to bed at night and not know when and if you will leave. Also, a few days ago someone tried to swim here and got sick. You don”t mess with athletes&#8221 health, his clear words at the end of the race released to RAI microphones.

Unfortunately, the silver medal is still an excellent result that Gregorio Paltrinieri commented as follows: “I dedicated the whole year to prepare this race. The first one, the one that breaks the ice. This silver is also worth so much because it is the ninth World Championship podium. I had put all my energy into this competition and I am so happy to have succeeded”. Satisfied but also very angry.
