Alex Schwazer gets back on track with Sudtirol
South Tyrol has an exceptional new collaborator: it is Alex Schwazer. The former marcher, an Olympic champion in Beijing 2008, will analyze the team’s athletic data and may join the staff in all respects in the future.
He was confirmed to Gazzetta dello Sport by sports director Paolo Bravo: “For years we have been coming to training camp near Sterzing, where Alex was born and lives. We met him and started talking about a collaboration last winter. Eventually we started getting serious”.
“What amazed us about him was the humility and passion with which he always showed himself, but most of all his expertise in analyzing data and making choices depending on what the numbers indicated. He is clearly an expert in the subject and immediately engaged us in his disaminations”.
“We are convinced of the choice, moreover Alex has been a hero for this land, so based on the evaluation that we will do over time we say that we could think about a permanent entry on the staff. But this also depends on him because professional activities related to his expertise are not lacking”.
