World Championships, Gregorio Paltrinieri forfeits for tank races

Gregorio Paltrinieri’s world championships will come to a close with the final cross-country trials.

The Olympian, who underwent an X-ray, was found to have “detached a small bone fragment at the insertion of the extensor tendon of the third phalanx of the fourth finger of his left hand” brought back during the 10-kilometer race and ended with world silver.
