After a season made up of ups and downs, AC Milan is preparing for a sort of “year zero” with numerous novelties starting with who will sit on the bench, Massimiliano Allegri, passing through changes at the managerial level, with Igli Tare the new sporting director, and those on the pitch, with the’entry of Luka Modric and the excellent goodbyes of players such as Tijjani Reijnders (who has already played the World Club Championship with Manchester City) and Theo Hernandez (who chose instead the’Al Hilal).

The first competitive engagement is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, with an outing at Milanello against Milan Futuro, but it is between Wednesday, July 23, and Thursday, July 31, that the Rossoneri will test themselves against prominent opponents, the first two of them among the top teams in the Premier League. It starts precisely on the 23rd in Singapore: Milan’s opponent will be Arsenal, at the Singapore National Stadium.

Then, on Saturday, July 26, there will be a great classic of European soccer, in the setting of the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong: the Diavolo will face Liverpool, a historic rival club against whom they have played two Champions League finals, one in Istanbul in 2005 (won by the Reds on penalties after a resounding comeback in regulation time from 0-3 to 3-3) and one in Athens in 2007 (with Milan’s 2-1 victory).

Toping off the tour, then, a move to Western Australia: on July 31, the team coached by Massimiliano Allegri will face Perth Glory, a team from the Australian A-League. The Rossoneri will return to Italy the following day and have scheduled two more friendlies, against Leeds United on August 9 and Chelsea on the 10th, before the Coppa Italia preliminary against Bari, which will officially kick off the season on August 17.
