Lucia Bronzetti and Flavio Cobolli beaten in mixed doubles, Hopman Cup goes to Canada

Canada, which was the last nation to beat Italy in both the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup, confirmed itself as the black beast of our tennis and won the Hopman Cup in Bari.
In the decisive mixed doubles final played at the Fiera del Levante, in fact, Bianca Andreescu and Felix Auger-Aliassime beat Lucia Bronzetti and Flavio Cobolli with a double 6-3.
Bronzetti conceded the first “real” break ball of the match at 2-1 for Canada and unfortunately lost the serve, the North Americans conceded nothing and it was Auger-Aliassime who held the last serve of the set.
In the second set, Andreescu saves three break points in a row at 2-1 for the Azzurri and then unfortunately, at 3-3, it is Lucia again who loses the serve on the third consecutive break point of the game.
Auger-Aliassime holds serve at the deciding point and then Cobolli also loses the serve at the deciding point. Canada once again punished Italy and won the first Hopman Cup in its history.
