Moto2, Brno: first seasonal joy for Joe Roberts, Celestino Vietti in Top 5

Joe Roberts won the Czech Republic Grand Prix of the Moto2 class, thus taking his first success of the season: at the Brno circuit, the American of the Onlyfans American Racing Team was a clear second ahead of the runner-up, Belgian Barry Baltus (fourth place d’honor in 2025 for Fantic Racing rider Lino Sonego) and 3 seconds and 6 tenths ahead of World Championship leader Manuel Gonzalez (Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP).
Shind behind Daniel Holgado (CFMoto Aspar Team), there’s then the first of the two Italians to reach the finish line, Celestino Vietti: for the SUP Racing centaur, the gap to the winner is 7 seconds and 494 thousandths. For Vietti it is the fourth top 5 in 2025: fifth position came in three of the last four races (Mugello, Sachsenring and Brno).
Out of the points zone, on the other hand, Tony Arbolino (BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2): for the 2000 class there’s only nineteenth place, with a delay of about 4 seconds from fifteenth place, which gives one point and was occupied in Brno by the Australian Senna Agius. Unlucky, however, Mattia Pasini: the veteran, a wild card in the Czech Republic, was unable to complete a race that began from eighth place due to a fall.
In the overall standings, Manuel Gonzalez leads with 188 points and stretches ahead of Aron Canet, who retired today and therefore stopped at 163. He is followed by Barry Baltus at 134 and Diogo Moreira (Italtrans Racing) with 128 points. Celestino Vietti is further back, in eighth place, with 90 points collected in the first 12 race weekends. Today’s winner, Roberts, on the other hand, has 80 points and is tied for 10th with Marcos Ramirez, his teammate.
