Carlos Alcaraz: first measure after knockout against Jannik Sinner

Carlos Alcaraz is working to catch up with Jannik Sinner after his defeat in the final at Wimbledon. The Murcia-based tennis player, just like the world number one, has decided to skip the ATP tournament in Toronto, and like the Azure will only return to play on the circuit in Cincinnati and the US Open.

Alcaraz has decided to take a longer break to recover his energy and reappear at his best for the season on cement, Sinner’s ideal surface.

The Spaniard has to defend few points over Jannik: his goal is to undermine the’Alto Adige native at the top of the ranking ATP by the end of the year. According to Marca reports, Alcaraz has decided to “listen to his body” prioritizing rest.

Sinner has been world number one for 59 weeks, and has surpassed Jim Courier on the special all-time list.
