MotoGP, news GP d'Argentina: from 2027 will be in Buenos Aires

Just a few hours after the race in Brno, a circuit that had returned to the calendar after a five-year absence, MotoGP also officially welcomes another track that has made motorcycling history. In this case, however, abandoned by the queen class of two wheels even since 1999. It is the Buenos Aires autodrome, which from 2027 will host the Grand Prix of Argentina almost 30 years after the last time.
A rainbow fixture all’now on the MotoGP calendar, the Grand Prix d’Argentina has been held since 2014 in Termas de Rio Hondo but in two years it will then return to the country’s capital. Indeed, its venue will once again be the Oscar y Juan Gálvez Autodrome in Buenos Aires, as was the case until 1999 (with victory in Class 500 by Kenny Roberts Jr. and Marco Melandri in 125. The Buenos Aires government simultaneously announced a total renovation of the circuit also known for hosting twenty editions of the Formula 1 Grand Prix d’Argentina, spread between 1953 and 1998, but with a string of five consecutive races between 1977 and 1981). The work will cover the track, escape routes, but also the pits and paddock, as well as connections, infrastructure, security and logistics.
