Ahead of the new season, the seventh consecutive in Serie A, Treviso is ready to welcome a new point guard, Brianté Weber. Class of 1992, out of Virginia Commonwealth and a stalwart of several seasons spent between the NBA and G-League before landing in Europe, Weber is back from the ’last part of the 2024-2025 season played with DInamo Sassari, where he came close to 10 points per game, stopping at 9.9.

According to reports from ‘Superbasket’, it would have been Federico Pasquini, since this year general manager of Treviso but until a few months ago on the management staff of Dinamo itself, who convinced Brianté Weber. Weber is thus preparing to live his third experience in Italy: before Sassari, in fact, he had played in 2023-2024 in Reggio Emilia.

In his long career, Brianté Weber has worn the undershirts of Sioux Falls Skyforce and Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the G-League, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets and Houston Rockets in the NBA, Olympiacos in Greece, Metropolitans 92 and BCM Gravelines in France, Hamilton Badgers in the Canadian league, Indios Mayaguez in the Puerto Rican league, Bnei Herzliya in Israel, Büyükçekmece in Turkey, and Al Kuwait in the’emirate capital of the same name, as well as Reggio Emilia and Sassari.

Treviso is coming off a season that ended in 11th place in Serie A. While saving itself rather easily, it missed the playoffs goal for the fourth consecutive season: with Alessandro Rossi on the bench and Federico Pasquini as general manager, it aims to enter the top eight for the first time since the 2020-2021 year.

The team is now in the top eight.
