Hakan Calhanoglu breaks his silence and tries to close the case concerning him once and for all, bringing serenity back to the Inter house. After weeks of rumors and indiscretions, it was the Turkish midfielder himself who took the floor, interviewed by reporters outside the gates of Appiano Gentile upon his arrival at the Nerazzurri sports center to begin preparations toward the upcoming season. “I am staying at Inter, I am happy to stay. Whether I will talk to Lautaro? It&#8217s all right, we have already talked and there&#8217s no problem. When the captain comes back we will embrace him.”

Clear words, aiming to finally put the rumors of the summer behind them and start again to seek redemption after the negative conclusion of last season. A case opened by Lautaro Martinez&#8217s words after the elimination at the hands of Fluminense at the Club World Cup, when the Nerazzurri captain had put some teammates in his sights (with Calhanoglu&#8217s name later publicly made by the president, Giuseppe Marotta).

But now the Turk is trying to restore serenity in the group as well. “With Lautaro we talked, we are professional and mature. Everything is clear and there&#8217s no problem. When the captain comes back we just embrace him because now he is on vacation. We were full in the head, now we are more relaxed. The calf after the injury is fine, the vacations have not been easy because there is so much speculation but I have always been in contact with the club. I am back in the best condition and I am happy to be back, I want to start working” added Calhanoglu.

“On the market there are rumors and speculation like every year, this time a little bit’ more. This time I didn&#8217t say anything because talking all the time I don&#8217t think it&#8217s right. I am happy to stay, I am an Inter player and I have always said I want to continue here”. On renewal“hopefully, let&#8217s see what will happen. My goal is to win trophies” he concluded. Calhanoglu was not the only one to walk through the gates of Appiano Gentile again. In fact, today was also the first day of school for all the players who did not play the club tournament, leaving the U.S. early.

In addition to the Turk, so, today Pavard, Bisseck and Zielinski underwent medical examinations in the morning, and then reached Appiano Gentile in the afternoon, where a personalized training session on the field, not in the gym, awaited them: a positive sign on the front of their physical recoveries and in view of resuming full fitness. Also arriving with them was Bonny, one of the new signings for this summer, who was welcomed by the sporting director, Piero Ausilio, and trained in the gym.

The’other injured player in the United States, Frattesi, on the other hand, will have a few more days of rest after his operation for an inguinal hernia. The gathering for the entire team, however, is set for Saturday, July 26, while on Monday, July 28, President Marotta and the coach, Cristian Chivu, will present the new season in a press conference. The first friendly is set for Aug. 8, at home to Monaco.
