Trieste ready to welcome a new guard 'Made in USA'

Ballacanestro Trieste now has ready the’alternative to Denzel Valentine, who after one season in the biancorosso has decided to give in to the lure of Reyer Venezia. According to reports from ‘Il Piccolo’, in fact, the Julian club is one step away from putting under contract Jahmi’us Ramsey a 2001 class guard with several NBA appearances and a fair amount of experience in the G-League.
For Ramsey, who after completing his college journey at Texas Tech was selected at number 43 in the NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, the one in Italy will be his first experience outside the borders of the United States. After a couple of d’years in Sacramento, with moves to G-League affiliates (Agua Caliente Clippers and Stockton Kings), he switched to the Oklahoma Blue, also in the developmental league, where he played continuously between 2022 and 2024.
In the spring of 2024, Ramsey then signed two ten-day contracts with the Toronto Raptors, playing some games in the NBA and others in the G-League, with Raptors 905. In October of that year he then returned to the ranks of the Oklahoma Blue. The U.S. guard also played for the national team, in FIBA AmeriCup qualifiers.
Ballacanestro Trieste is preparing for its second consecutive season in Serie A, the seventh in the last eight (the’only exception being the 2023-2024 year in A2). Last year, the red-and-white club saw its team qualify for both the Final Eight of the Italian Cup, where it reached the semifinals, and the Scudetto playoffs, where it was eliminated in the first round instead.
