Italvolley, shoots VNL Finals mission to China

On the occasion of the men’s national team’s collegiate training in Rome, Federal Vice President Massimo Sala wanted to meet with the Azzurri and the technical staff led by CT Ferdinando De Giorgi.

Before training at the “Giulio Onesti” Olympic Preparation Center, Vice President Sala met with the team and brought greetings from Federal President Giuseppe Manfredi.

“You have played an outstanding tournament so far and have achieved the goal of entering the final phase of this VNL. I want to take the opportunity of this greeting to thank every athlete who has taken part in the collegials and competitions during these weeks of work. What has emerged in these weeks is once again the team concept and I must say that I also see a lot of enthusiasm around this team and around all of you”.

The Azzurri then held a training session until 7:30 pm. The Italian national team will depart tomorrow, July 26, at 8:50 p.m. from Rome’s Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci” airport to China. After a stopover in Beijing, the group will reach with a second flight the city of Ningbo, where the last act of the Volleyball Nations League 2025 will take place as known from July 30 to August 3.
Giannelli and his teammates will face Cuba in the quarterfinals, the match is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30 at 9:00 a.m. Italian time (3:00 p.m. local time) and will be broadcast on DAZN and live streaming on VBTV.
