Jannik Sinner and Darren Cahill, dry denial on farewell rumors

In the last few hours, the tennis world has been shaken by a rumor that Darren Cahill would not be joining Jannik Sinner during the upcoming U.S. tour on cement, thus skipping the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and the U.S. Open, the last Slam of the season.
A decision reportedly made by the Australian coach to take a break and be near his family in Australia.
So much was enough to ignite speculation about the future of the relationship between the world number one and his coach of reference, already the subject of some statements by Sinner himself during the year.
Bashing the reconstruction was Brad Gilbert, a former player and current ESPN commentator very close to Cahill, who on X branded as “fake news” the indiscretion, hinting that the coach will continue to follow Sinner even in the most delicate phase of the season.
