Death of Celeste Pin, autopsy ordered

Prosecutors have ordered an autopsy for Celeste Pin, the 64-year-old former soccer player who was found dead in his home in the hills of Florence on July 22.
The’most credited hypothesis by investigators would be suicide, and prosecutors on Friday had given the go-ahead for the return of the body.
But on the same day the footballer’s ex-wife emailed a homicide complaint, against unknown persons, asking for further investigation. Hence the decision, as reported today by Corriere Fiorentino, to order an autopsy.
To raise the alarm last Tuesday had been a family member of Pin. From the outset, voluntary action would be assumed even though no suicide note was found.
Prosecutors opened a file for manslaughter against unknown persons in order to conduct a series of investigations. Then the go-ahead for the return of the body, now blocked as Repubblica reports.
The’ex-wife, however, does not believe in suicide, which is why she reportedly asked for toxicology tests, seizure of Pin’s cell phone and seals on the player’s home.
