Rain first and then Piastri and McLaren win in Belgium. Third is Leclerc’s Ferrari

McLaren one-two in the Belgian Grand Prix initially postponed almost an hour and a half because of rain. Oscar Piastri triumphed ahead of teammate Lando Norris, who had started from pole position. Third was the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc.
Fourth was world champion Max Verstappen in the Red Bull, fifth George Russell in the Mercedes. Respectively seventh and sixteenth were the other Ferrari with Lewis Hamilton, who made a good comeback from sixteenth place, and the other Mercedes with Kimi Antonelli.
The other Mercedes with Kimi Antonelli.
After an attempt at a reconnaissance lap behind the safety car, the red flag was unbelievably given and the start was one hour and 20 minutes late, among other things after another four laps behind the safety car and with the actual race starting from the pit lane and not from the grid.
Eighth career win and sixth of the season for Piastri who is now 16 points ahead of Norris and 81 ahead of Verstappen in the world standings, Leclerc is fifth and Hamilton sixth. In the constructors’ world championship McLaren dominates with more than twice as many points as Ferrari, 516 versus 248.
