If the morning is any indication… . Lottie Woad made her professional debut with outstanding success at the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open 2025, finishing the tournament with an outstanding -21 and three shots ahead of second. On the Dundonald Links course, the 21-year-old Englishwoman, already world number one as an amateur, led the leaderboard from start to finish, sealing victory with a birdie on the final hole. Behind her at -18 was South Korea’s Hyo Joo Kim, while third place at -14 was shared by compatriot Sei Young Kim and Julia Lopez Ramirez (Spain).

Already the winner of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open 2025, Lottie is the first Englishwoman to win in this tournament since Trish Johnson’s 2014 victory. The youngster was able to withstand the pressure of a very competitive field, facing variable weather conditions due to wind. “I didn’t expect it, but I knew I was in good shape and hoped to compete for the top positions,” she said happily after raising the trophy.

Benedetta Moresco finished the tournament in 21st place with a total of -5 (70-71-71-71), showing remarkable consistency. Alessandra Fanali also had a good showing, finishing 50th with a +1 (74-71-72-72), remaining solid despite a tricky start.
