Inter president Beppe Marotta spoke in a press conference about Lookman, the big reinforcement that the Nerazzurri executives want to score in attack: “He’s an Atalanta player, to whom the utmost respect is due: we have a very good relationship with the Percassi family, I don&#8217t hide that with Luca Percassi a few words have been exchanged. We must raise the bar and not be afraid to ask for good players”.

This will be the decisive week, one way or another: “Lookman represents a suitable profile for Chivu&#8217s schemes, not the only one though. There are also other names: I do not hide that within 2-3 days we will come to the conclusion of the confrontation with Atalanta. If the conditions are there and Atalanta is willing, we will see to activate a concrete negotiation, otherwise there will be a different solution”, is the Nerazzurri top executive’s warning.

On the interest in Leoni: “It seems right to me that Chivu has recognized the value of both Esposito and Leoni, however, he is a Parma player and we have not initiated any negotiations. He would be useful to many clubs, but the priority at this moment concerns other roles and other players. Then we will see what can happen”.
