Nations League, Italy beats Cuba and flies to semifinals

In Ningbo, China, the men’s Nations League knockout phase got off to the best start for Ferdinando De Giorgi’s Italy.
The Azzurri in fact beat Cuba 3-1 in the quarterfinals, 25-18 25-18 20-25 25-21 the scores of the sets in what was the opening match of the Final Eight and was played at the Beilun Sport and Arts Centre.
The best scorer of the match was Cuban Yant with 22 points, in the blue ranks Michieletto finished with 18 points.
De Giorgi’s national team will gliogi the semifinals on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m. Italian time and will face the winner of the quarterfinal between France and Slovenia scheduled tomorrow at 9 a.m., also Italian time.
