Through an official note, Dolomiti Energia Trentino announced that it has reached a one-year agreement with Peyton Aldridge, an American big forward born in 1995. The American player arrives in Trento after several seasons in Turkey and a previous experience in Serie A with the jersey of Vanoli Cremona.

A 203 cm by 102 kg strong wing, Aldridge is a player with great physical presence, but also with an excellent outside shot that enriches the long department with a dangerous perimeter dimension. His offensive versatility also allows him to hit while attacking the iron, absorbing contact well.

Born Nov. 10, 1995, in Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio (USA), Aldridge came to prominence at LaBrae High School, where he finished the 2013-14 season with 21.4 points, 14.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.4 steals on average, becoming the top scorer in the institution’s history.

From 2014 to 2018 he wore the jersey of Davidson College – the same university that launched Stephen Curry – where he played four seasons as a star player in the quintet. In his senior year he averaged 21.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, shooting 54 percent from two and 39 percent from three. His performance made him one of the most valued players by coach Bob McKillop, Curry’s own longtime coach and mentor.

At the end of his college career, Aldridge landed in Europe in the 2018-19 season with Vanoli Cremona. In a memorable year for the Lombard club led by Meo Sacchetti, culminating in winning the Coppa Italia and reaching the playoff semifinals (lost only in Game 5), Aldridge contributed 10.3 points and 4 rebounds per game, shooting 37% from three.

The team’s best performance was in the last two years.

After his LBA experience, he participated in the NBA Summer League with the Memphis Grizzlies before moving to Turkey, where he stayed for six seasons. His first year saw him star in Afyon, where he averaged 11.4 points and 5 rebounds. The positive year earned him the call of a prestigious club like Bahçeşehir, with which he also made his debut in the EuroCup.

From 2021 to 2025, he plays in Izmir with Petkim Spor Kulübü, a club with which he also competes in the Basketball Champions League last season, passing the qualifiers and making it to the Top 16 in a top-tier group with Manresa, Tenerife, and Reggio Emilia. In the league, Petkim reached the 2023-24 playoffs, exiting in the first round against future Turkish champions Fenerbahçe.
