On the evening of Sunday, August 10, three more matches valid for the first round of the Italian Cup were staged. Home victories for l’Audace Cerignola and Pescara, which defeated Avellino and Rimini respectively, while Vicenza defeated Padova away.

At Padua&#8217s Stadio Euganeo Lane took the lead after a quarter of an hour with a shot to the corner by former Capello. In the second half he doubled on a tap-in by Caferri. Vicenza thus detaches the pass for the second round where it will face Genoa.

At the Monterisi stadium in Cerignola, the hosts only need a goal by Cuppone at 61′ to give themselves a historic qualification to the 32nd finals where they will face Hellas Verona.

At the Adriatico-Cornacchia stadium in Pescara, the biancazzurri overcame Rimini by a narrow margin thanks to a goal by Valzania at the end of the first half. In the next round, the Abruzzesi will take on Parma.
