Kenneth Faried may return to Emilia: it’s not just Reggio waiting for him

For the past few hours a new name has been circulating for the Virtus market. According to La Prealpina, among the options being evaluated would be Kenneth Faried, a center with a long career in the NBA and veteran of last season in Reggio Emilia. In the LBA he finished with an average of 8.3 points and 6.7 rebounds, while in the BCL he traveled to 9.9 points and 7.9 rebounds.

In the last few days the 1989 class played in Puerto Rico, where his team was eliminated in the semifinals by Danilo Gallinari’s team. For weeks, Pallacanestro Reggiana has been trying to bring him back to Italy, but–according to the Gazzetta di Reggio–the negotiations have stalled due to the inclusion of financially very solid clubs ready to offer higher salaries. La Prealpina reports that Faried has found himself well in Italy and might appreciate a Juventus proposal, even if physically he is no longer at the top, accomplice age and accumulated experience.

His would not be the only name on the table, however. Il Resto del Carlino points out that, while recognizing his qualities and the advantage of already knowing the league, the Virtus technical staff does not put him at the top of the list. It is likely that Faried has been proposed to the club like other players, and in the meantime by today he should give a final answer to Unahotels, which is beginning to look elsewhere.
