Felix Auger-Aliassime shortly before the start of the match against Jannik Sinner blurted out to local reporters, complaining about the severe heat in Cincinnati: “It feels like an oven, even for the fans“. Even the rain doesn&#8217t seem to have lowered the temperature too much, which will also strongly affect the upcoming matches, starting with the one with Azzurro, scheduled for 3 p.m. local time (9 p.m. in Italy).

“We are always on the move and focused on trying to win, but the audience sits for a long time. And the same goes for our coaches. I recommend the audience to drink a lot of water, bring a hat and refresh themselves as much as possible” continued the Canadian tennis player.

Just during a match against Auger-Aliassime, Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech collapsed to the ground from the heat and was rescued by the North American himself. Even Sinner after his d’debut match against Galan had pointed out: “If you don&#8217t close the exchange right away, you risk losing a lot of energy, it”s awful hot.
