Genoa, Valentin Carboni reveals the reason for his choice

Valentin Carboni, Genoa’s new midfielder, gave an official interview to the official channels of the Rossoblù club. “Calcistically, I grew up in Argentina– he began – although then at the level of life and culture I lived more in Italy. The blood, however, remains Argentine”.

“Best memory in soccer? When we won the Copa America with all those phenomena, an unforgettable thing, a dream I had since I was a child. I am happy to have lived that moment. I try to have fun, give my best, it is a pride to play with people like Messi, Di Maria and Dybala“.

Many Argentine players have passed through the Grifone, such as Diego Milito: “He did very well here, as did Palacio, Romero and Burdisso. I am happy to be here and I hope to retrace their paths”.

He then explained the reason for his choice: “The coach, the club, the great team and the stadium, when I played there I saw an incredible fan base, the atmosphere was fantastic and this also led me to choose Genoa”.

Closing on goals: “I put goals on myself but I try to do my best day after day in training, if you do this well things will come”.
