Ducati, Gigi Dall'Igna bluntly on Pecco Bagnaia after flop in Austria

Ducati general manager Gigi Dall’Igna commented unabashedly on Pecco Bagnaia’s disappointing eighth-place finish in Austria. The Piedmontese rider had a poor weekend at the Red Bull Ring, perhaps the lowest point of his Ducati career.
“Each passing race is clearly a wasted opportunity to try to improve” said the Ducati executive. “He had a good weekend in free practice, the problem on Saturday we still have to analyze and understand, definitely, though, today”’s race was a bit underwhelming.
Dall’Igna then dwelt on the performance of Fermin Aldeguer: the Spaniard of the Gresini team finished second in the race, and showed signs of great growth. “He did an incredible race without making mistakes, and on a very complicated track. He is growing and his future is as a Ducati rider”.
