Inter Miami: Lionel Messi returns to the field and it’s instant magic
Lionel Messi is back and, once again, he made the difference. In the match, valid for the MLS regular season, between Inter Miami and LA Galaxy, the Argentine starred, scoring a goal and providing an assist. Yet another knockout performance by the now 38-year-old World Champion outfielder.
Inter Miami came out on top 3-1. The first goal l’scored Jordi Alba in the first half of the game. At the beginning of the second half, here was the return to the field of the Argentine World Champion (had not played since last August 2). After Paintsil equalized, it was the former Blaugrana’s own goal that closed the score. First the 2-1 goal at the 84’84’ and, later, the assist that allowed Luis Suarez to close the file.
“He is an extraordinary player. I noticed that he was clearly not 100 percent. As the minutes passed, it started to loosen up a little bit’ more. We will see how he feels after the game. The’former Barcelona star, with the goal he netted against the LA Galaxy, has now reached 19 goals in the regular season. He is currently the tournament’s top scorer (although he has missed several games due to injury).
