Torino: Asllani increasingly distant, there's a new name for midfield

With the negotiation to get Kristjan Asllani now on the verge of foundering (Inter is considering selling the Albanian national player to Bologna), Torino is betting big on a new name for its midfield: it is Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, who grew up in Juventus but was sold by the Bianconeri to Venezia before the 2024-2025 season.
The ’interest in the 2000-class midfielder by Torino is not new, as the Granata club had also evaluated in the past the possibility of starting a negotiation for the player: according to reports from ‘Sky Sport‘ however, it is precisely after the ‘no’ received from Inter for Asllani that the Granata management would once again pounce on Nicolussi Caviglia.
The 25-year-old is coming off his first season as a Serie A starter at Venezia, although he had already played several games in the top flight with Juventus and Salernitana. Despite the relegation at the end of last season of the lagooners, Nicolussi Caviglia was among the most positive elements and also scored four times.
In the meantime, the head of Torino’s technical area, Davide Vagnati, seems to have definitively unblocked the situation related to Antonio Sanabria, whom Toro put on the market to avoid losing him for zero at the end of the season: the Paraguayan, initially approached by Lecce, should settle at Cremonese, looking for an experienced striker to face the season of the return to A.
